Goalkeeper Academy Overview:
Goalkeeper training will be run by the Puma FC Goalkeeper Staff. The sessions are designed to be progressive, so it is highly recommended that players consistently attend the training to get the most benefit.
Our philosophy at Puma FC is to teach and coach our goalkeepers to become fundamentally flawless goalkeepers. Emphasis is always placed on the following; Technique, Positioning, Distribution, Decision making, and the Psychological part of the game. Our goalkeepers achieve this through continuous repetition and attention to technical details. I firmly believe that it does not make sense to do physically taxing exercises for the sake of making goalkeepers tired with little attention given to the proper method of goalkeeping.
Spring Goalkeeper practices will begin the March 3- May 23
|U19-U12||Wednesday||5:15 PM- 6:15 PM||Stoll Park|

Goalkeepers should arrive 10-15 minutes early so the sessions start on time. Be ready and prepared for the activity (i.e.- wearing GK gloves and any other equipment they personally require for the activity).
There is no additional cost for currently registered competitive players. Non-competitive players are welcome to participate. The cost will be a $350.00 training fee for the Spring or Fall sessions.
The curriculum covers the four pillars of goalkeeping:
Technical: hand-eye skills, diving, crosses, 1-v-1
Tactical: decision making, angle play, organizing defense/set-pieces, restarts
Physical: proper warm-up, foot mobility
Mental: leadership, self-confidence, staying focused
